This brief was set by The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. They wanted a way to get more people coming back to the museum and asked us to figure out what problems we thought the museum had and how to solve them. One of the issues I found was that the children’s activity booklets were extremely dull and lacked anything interactive with the museum, so I set out to redesign them. I wanted it all in one booklet so it would be more practical for the children to carry around with them and I made the activities interactive with the exhibits so it was educational as well as fun. In addition, I created a character ‘Sid the Snail’ that ‘assists’ the children around the museum, the idea being that we could create a ‘snail trail’ for the children to follow around the museum.
